Design Thinking: Boost the Innovation Fire Power at Your Organization

Making Design a Powerful Tool in your Marketing Strategy

An exclusive Half-Day Workshop produced by the Boston Chapter of the American Marketing Association

Join the AMA for this very special design thinking workshop hosted by the leading innovation consultancy Continuum.

Continuum

What is Design Thinking?

Since 1983, Continuum has created meaningful design for companies worldwide including American Express, Andersen Windows, Procter and Gamble, BMW, Master Lock, Moen, Samsung, Johnson & Johnson. Design Thinking is a strategic process that produces tangible results. It’s about generating new ideas, not reworking old ones. It’s about understanding what customers want, not just what the numbers say. It’s a way to find solutions that satisfy the needs of both your business and your customer. Design thinking is all about looking at things from a different angle. It’s a way to find creative solutions.

Our workshop teaches the principles of design thinking and how to apply them to a diverse set of situations. You’ll learn by doing through this highly-interactive and collaborative experience. You’ll gain new perspective on how to define problems and identify solutions. And you’ll walk away with tools and approaches that can be applied to your own business challenges. Join us for this 3-hour workshop and you will have the opportunity to participate in the “out of box” workshop or service design workshop.

What you’ll do:

  • Collaborate in small groups
  • Develop an understanding of how to evolve solutions from deep customer insights
  • Experience the power of experiential modeling —of making ideas tangible in order to make them better
  • Explore the effect of abductive reasoning: the logic of what might be
  • Understand how to utilize design thinking in your own work

Space is limited to 60 attendees! (30 for the “out-of-box” workshop and 30 for the service design workshop). Sign up today.
